About Us

We're Kaitlin and Brad, the duo behind Duet 😏😼

Our mission is to help animals and the people who help them.

We’re animal people ourselves who know how hard it can be for businesses and organizations that support animals to keep up with phone calls and messages.

As volunteers at our local shelter and fosters of strays, we’ve spent more time than most in veterinary offices and animal rescue spaces. We've seen how overworked and understaffed offices can lead to missed calls and delayed messages—and how frustrating that is for both staff and the people trying to reach them.

We're here to help you stay connected so you can focus on what really matters: helping the animals in your care.

We grew up with cats, dogs, and birds, and pets continue to be irreplaceable parts of our family. We’ve raised some of them as bottle babies, cared for others through chronic illnesses and injuries, and lay down beside them when they had to leave us. We believe the bonds between humans and their non-human companions are among the most meaningful relationships they will ever have. These sacred connections shape our lives, our values, and our mission at Duet.

We’ve also seen the heartbreaking realities faced by strays and ferals. That’s why we coordinate a local adoption program for shelter dogs and independently foster cats in our home—efforts that reflect our long-standing commitment to making a real difference in animals’ lives.

Because of the need we see every day, we want to help bring people and animals together by supporting veterinarians, shelters, rescues, groomers, and other animal-focused businesses and organizations that don’t have the staff or time to respond to every call or message.

Our backgrounds are in community service and customer care. Kaitlin has led both local and national grassroots organizations and was elected to the board of her local water district. Brad has worked as a software trainer, environmental consultant, and in the recreation department at McMurdo Station, Antarctica. Together we ran a residential cleaning company that used non-toxic products to protect both our team and the planet.

Across all of these roles, we have used clear and compassionate communication, and that’s the foundation of what we bring to Duet. We’ve spent years practicing listening attentively, speaking with care, and helping people with a wide range of concerns and situations. That same commitment now drives how we handle your calls and messages: with clarity, warmth, and a deep respect for the trust you place in us.
